Initial Report

During scheduled overnight maintenance, a transit engineering crew opened a service door that should have led to a cable recess. Beyond it was a tiled pedestrian corridor descending approximately thirty meters to a fully illuminated rail platform. Signage identified the location only as MERIDIAN.

The municipal transit operator has no plans, property records, electrical allocation or construction history for the platform. Ground-penetrating surveys conducted from the surface are inconsistent with the volume observed underground.

Observed Properties

The platform is clean, powered and intermittently served by trains of an unknown model. No train has yet stopped while VEIL personnel were present. Vehicles pass through at low speed with interior lighting active. Cameras have recorded silhouettes consistent with seated passengers, but image resolution is insufficient for identification.

Personnel leaving the platform by the access corridor return to the documented maintenance level without difficulty. Attempts to reach the station by drilling, adjacent tunnels or vertical survey have failed to intersect its volume.

Response

Access is restricted through a Veyrath Security maintenance cover arrangement. VRU-21 THRESHOLD conducts controlled entries. VEIL has not attempted to board or obstruct a train.

Assessment

The primary risk is not the station itself but uncontrolled interaction with a transport system whose destinations, operators and physical relationship to the known network remain unknown. Impact remains I2 because no effect outside the access point has been confirmed.
