Contribution Guide

Anyone may read the Archive. A registered account is required to create drafts, submit entries, vote or post in the forum.

Recommended workflow

  1. Read the Core Lore and Classification System.
  2. Develop the concept in the Ideas & Concept Critique forum if you want early feedback.
  3. Create a page on the Sandbox. Sandbox pages default to unlisted: anyone with the URL can read them, but they do not appear in public listings.
  4. Request draft critique when the article is structurally complete.
  5. Submit the sandbox page to the Archive review queue.
  6. A Reviewer, Moderator, Administrator or Director can publish or return the article with notes.

What belongs in the Archive

VEIL stories can concern unknown organisms, events, signals, technologies, places, systems, organizations, extraterrestrial contact, hidden human projects or cases that ultimately receive an ordinary explanation. There is deliberately no universal origin for the Unknown.

Canon

The site supports Core, Supplemental, Alternate and Deprecated labels. Core pages define shared setting rules. Supplemental entries are normal community canon. Alternate material intentionally explores incompatible continuities. Deprecated pages remain available for history but are not current reference material.

Revision culture

Published pages keep a revision history. Improve your work rather than deleting criticism. Major changes to another author's article require staff permission or the author's consent unless moderation action is necessary.
